- Cold sores, fresh bruising, open sores, bleeding, tooth abscess
- Broken jaw or other facial bone
- Facial cancer
- Head lice
- Recently consumed alcohol
- Under the influence of drugs
- Unstable blood pressure
- Recent head injury
- Recent neck injury
- Contagious disease
- Recent hemorrhage
- Recent scarring
- Severe acne
Here are a few cautions for which facial steaming is contraindicated:
- Pregnancy.
- Dermatitis.
- Pustular rashes.
- Eczema.
- Psoriasis.
- Severe acne and rosacea.
- Dilated blood vessels on the face.
- Sunburn.
People who have inflamed skin, psoriasis, eczema, active stages of acne, rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis should not have a Facial Steam.
The best time to get a facial is at least one week before you want your skin at its best. This will allow any residual blotchiness to fade and be replaced with a radiant, youthful glow.
